South Gyeongsang Province is a South Korean province in the southeast of the country. Its capital is Changwon. The largest touristic centres are Yangsan, Gimhae and Jinju.

It is the main destination for the excursion and outdoors tourism. The legendary sight of South Korea is Haensa Temple. It is situated on the Mount Kaysan and is one of the three main temples of the Three Jewels. The temples house sacral Buddhist manuscripts of the Tripitaka Koreana and are inscribed in the UNESCO World Heritage List.

Those who love history should not miss a chance to visit the Geoje Island, where there was a camp for prisoners during the Korean war. Today there is Historic Park of Geoje POW Camp. The tourists can see military equipment and buildings where the prisoners lived.

The fans of climbing should definitely go to the Jirisian National Park. There are all the conditions for hiking, trekking and canyoning. On the territory of the park, they grow medicinal herbs and tea.

If you prefer winter sports then go to Eden Valley Ski Resort. The active tourists can go alpine skiing, snowboarding and even play golf. For the lovers of beach holidays, we recommend going to Sanchzhu on the coast of the Korea Strait. Sanchzhu is believed to be the most beautiful beach of the region and it is situated in Namhae county. The active tourists can try their hand at diving, snorkelling, windsurfing, kiteboarding and fishing. They can also ride a boat or a scooter.

At the foot of the Togamsan Mountain, there is Pugok Hot Spring, a touristic zone of national significance. Pugok Hot Springs attract the lovers of wellness tourism. The temperature in the springs is +78С.

If you come to South Gyeongsang with kids, you will have a great time in Heyang Sengmul Theme Park. Every year, the city hosts a large Jinhae Gunhangje Festival, which attracts hundreds of lovers of the event tourism.
