Namche Bazaar

Namche Bazaar is a small highland village in Nepal. It is situated in Khumbu Area. It belongs to Solukhumbu District and is part of Sagarmatha Zone.

Namche Bazaar was built in Himalayas 3.440 meters above the sea. The village is surrounded by the Thamserku Mountain, on the east and the Kongde-Ri Mountain, on the west.

In Namche Bazaar, there are a lot of mountaineering and touristic routes. This village is one of the main trailheads for those hikers who are climbing the highest mountain in the world, the Mount Everest. There are also trekking routes to the Gokyo Lakes, Range La and Cho La summit passes and a classical route to the Everest Base Camp.

The viewing platforms in the village open fantastic mountain panoramas. That is why many tourists come here to enjoy the beauty of the nature of these places. The ecological tourists can go to Sagarmatha National Park. The active tourists can go climbing, trekking and hiking.

Many tourists come to Namche Bazaar to get acclimatized and get ready for conquering higher peaks. This village can boast of a well-developed infrastructure.
