Szecseny is a Hungarian city in Nograd County, situated on the Ipoly River in the north of the country close to the Slovakian border. The total area of the municipality is 46 square kilometres. It is 145 kilometres away from Miskolc and 105 kilometres away from Budapest.
There are no important historical or architectural monuments in the city, but due to its convenient location, it is a starting point for a journey around Hungary. In Budapest, the tourists will see such sights as Fisherman’s Bastion, Chain Bridge, Matthias Church, Buda Castle and Gresham Palace. You can take a trip to the city of Lillafured and visit the Castle of Diosgyor, Kazinczy Street Synagogue of Miskolc, Minorite Church.
